Watercolor Basics Glazes

Watercolor Basics Glazes

Posted by on / 0 Comments

Today I’m going to demonstrate my number one most used watercolor technique- the humble glaze. Glazes are thin washes of watercolor applied in layers, are a simple but very effective technique for watercolor artists.

Materials Used:
Canson Montval Watercolor Sketchbook (I paint 7″ Kara pages on Canson Montval sheets)
Sailor Mitsuo Aida brushpen (waterproof!)
Winsor and Newton, Daniel Smith, and So Ho watercolors in palette
Selection of natural hair rounds from 8-0. I recommend Jerry’s Artarama Creative Mark Rhapsody Brushes
